Web Security

Security breaches have increased massively since many migrated to a cloud network platform. Attackers are using AI everywhere.

Attackers are using GenAI at a faster pace than the rest of us, as they don't have to worry about regulations or sign-offs — including in video calls over the internet.

The cloud has widened the perimeter of protection, and that is creating a need for more sophisticated security. Web Security must be versatile enough to protect access for a user wherever and whenever they might be, and must safeguard those who are vulnerable — even those who aren't.

Real-world example

The now-legendary published article shows the extent of criminal reach: a finance worker was duped into attending a video call with deepfake recreations of several staff members, including the CFO, and made a bank transfer of $25 million to fraudsters.

NIS2 — new compliance on the horizon

If risks of violation aren't enough, there is new compliance: the introduction of NIS2, which comes into effect in the EU in October and will also be copied into UK cybersecurity law.

The key difference between NIS1 and NIS2 is that under NIS1, organisations are responsible for the security of assets they own, while under NIS2, organisations are responsible for the security of assets they use — such as SaaS.
